MTV Movies Blog has posted your first exclusive look at Friday the 13th. The video features an introduction by Amanda and you can see her and co-star Jared Padalecki in action as well as get a preview of the new look of Jason Voorhees' mask. If you are an US citizen, you can watch the video here, otherwise I have uploaded the video to YouTube.

After meeting the massive Tyler Mane on the set of Rob Zombie's "Halloween" last February, I had high expectations for Mears. Standing behind the monitors, I watched Amanda Righetti (who plays terrorized teen Whitney) reapply the duct tape over her mouth and lift her arms to allow Mears to hoist her over his right shoulder. As she hung lifeless, Mears lurched along a path that led to the abandoned shack where he stores his prey.

Next, a few minutes with cast members Danielle Panabaker, Jared Padalecki and Amanda Righetti. Plus conversations with make-up man Scott Stoddard and Voorhees himself Derek Mears. Mears feels this is really a character piece on a misunderstood human being and is approaching it that way. (..)

There were heads going through windows, machete's flying and most of all, a very scary 6 foot 5 maniac on the loose. I can't reveal to you exactly who's "kill scene" we saw shot, but it was a good one! (...)

The production is set to wrap on (coincidentally) Friday June 13th and are in the final throws of shooting. (...)

ShockTillYouDrop.com posted a set visit write-up of Amanda's new movie Friday the 13th. Not much in terms of Amanda, but for fans interested in the movie, it is still a good read. I for one am really looking forward to this movie.
